Hi, I'm Karen Purnell, RN and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I've been a nurse for over 14 years, and if you've ever worked a 12-hour shift in scrubs with a badge reel that broke by 10 AM — you already understand why I started this business.
The story
I got tired of badge reels that didn't last, didn't match my vibe, and clearly weren't made by anyone who'd ever actually worn scrubs. So I started making my own. One rhinestone badge reel turned into a collection. One collection turned into a community. Now here we are — Jazz & Co. Creations.
Every badge reel, glitter pen, fidget clicker, and desk accessory in this shop is designed with real healthcare workers in mind, because I am one. I know what it's like to need something that survives constant badge scanning, pocket diving, and the general chaos of a hospital floor. I know what it feels like to want accessories that actually reflect your personality — not just whatever was on the shelf at the hospital gift shop.

Beyond the shop, I'm still actively working as a nurse and PMHNP-BC. I live and breathe this profession. When I'm not crafting or fulfilling orders, I'm on the floor — which means I'm constantly getting real-time feedback on what healthcare workers actually need and want from their accessories. That perspective is something no mass-market brand can replicate.
